How to Choose the Right 90-Day Goals (Without Overcomplicating Them)

Dec 25, 2025

One or two goals per pillar. That's it.

I know you want to change everything at once. Fix your mindset, transform your body, revolutionize your relationships, and triple your income. All in the next 90 days. I get it. That ambition is what makes you who you are.

But that ambition, unchecked, is also what burns you out.

The Simplicity Principle

The Momentum Map asks you to choose one or two goals for each of the 4Ms. Not twelve goals per pillar. Not a complete life overhaul. Simple, realistic goals connected to the identity you're stepping into.

This feels too simple for most high achievers. Where's the challenge? Where's the stretch? But here's what I've learned: simplicity is the stretch. Focusing instead of scattering is the challenge. Less is actually harder than more.

Alignment Over Ambition

Before choosing any goal, go back to your Model section. Who is the woman you're becoming? What goals would she set? What actions naturally flow from her identity?

Goals that align with your emerging identity feel different than goals you think you should pursue. Aligned goals energize you even when they're challenging. Misaligned goals drain you even when they're easy.

Examples That Work

Mindset: Finish writing book. Complete 90 days of meditation. Read three books on personal development. Join a spiritual retreat.

Movement: Run a 5k. Lose 15 pounds. Complete 90 days no alcohol. Work with a trainer twice weekly.

Marriage: Book Hawaii vacation with spouse. Join a mastermind community. Plan monthly date nights. Reconnect with two close friends.

Money: Hit 80k monthly revenue. Launch new offer. Pay off specific debt. Build emergency fund to 10k.

The Litmus Test

For each potential goal, ask yourself: Does this connect to who I'm becoming? Can I realistically accomplish this in 90 days? Does this feel aligned or obligatory? Will achieving this actually improve my life?

If any goal feels like a should rather than a want, reconsider. Should goals come from external expectations. Want goals come from internal alignment. The Momentum Map works best with want goals.

Breaking Down Into Weekly Steps

Your 90-day goals become real when you break them into weekly milestones. One meaningful step each week that supports your larger goal. Week 1 might be joining the gym and hiring the trainer. Week 6 might be building your launch plan. Week 12 is celebrating your progress.

Your weekly steps should feel supportive, not stressful. Small consistent actions build unstoppable momentum. That's the compound effect in action.

Trust the Process

Four to eight total goals across all four pillars. That's enough to create real transformation without overwhelming your capacity. Trust that focused effort in aligned directions creates bigger results than scattered effort in every direction.

Your next 90 days don't need to be complicated. They need to be intentional.
